23 λέξεις που θα καταλάβουν μόνο όσοι είναι φανατικοί των Friends – Cineramen

Οι χαρακτηριστικές στιγμές από την σειρά Friends είναι αμέτρητες και σίγουρα δεν μας φτάνει διψήφιος αριθμός άρθρων για να τα απαριθμήσουμε. Η δημοφιλής σειρά αναμφίβολα έχει τις στιγμές της, οι οποίες έχουν μείνει στο μυαλό του θεατή.

Ωστόσο εκτός από όλα αυτά υπάρχουν και μερικοί… κωδικοί τους οποίους θα καταλάβουν μόνο όσοι βλέπουν την σειρά και φυσικά αναφερόμαστε στις λέξεις που χρησιμοποιούνταν για χαρακτηριστικές καταστάσεις των πρωταγωνιστών.

To Buzzfeed διάλεξε 23 χαρακτηριστικές λέξεις τις οποίες χρησιμοποίησαν σε μερικές από τις πιο κλασικές στιγμές οι πρωταγωνιστές από τα Φιλαράκια. Ποιος μπορεί να μην θυμάται το χαρακτηριστικό όνομα της Phoebe (Phalange), την στιγμή του Unagi, σε τι αποσκοπούσε η Vein της Μόνικα ή το.. Seven της, το Gleba που πρωτοείπε η Emma και πολλές ακόμα που μπορείτε να δείτε παρακάτω.

Παραθέτουμε λόγω μη… δανεισμού των στοιχείων από το εν λόγω site, αυτούσιο το απόσπασμα που βρήκαμε, για να μην χαθεί και το νόημα των λέξεων:

1. Apothecary

What it usually means: A person who prepared/sold medicines and drugs.

What it means to Friends fans: A table from Pottery Barn/a table from “The Days of Yore.”

2. Phalange

What it usually means: The bones that make up your fingers or toes.

What it means to Friends fans: A last name or a very important part of a plane.

3. Unagi

What it usually means: Japanese word for freshwater eel.

What it means to Friends fans: A state of total awareness that you can only achieve by preparing for any danger that may befall you.

4. Vein

What it usually means: An integral part of the blood circulation system of the body.

What it means to Friends fans: The part of Monica’s forehead that you DO NOT ever want to see.

5. Transponster

What it usually means: Nothing because that is not a real word.

What it means to Friends fans: What Rachel thinks Chandler’s job title is.

6. Pivot

What it usually means: To rotate or turn.

What it means to Friends fans: Something you yell at someone when you’re moving absolutely any type of furniture anywhere at all.

7. Thursday

What it usually means: The fourth or fifth day of the week (depending on whether you start counting on Sunday or Monday).

What it means to Friends fans: The third day of the week. Ex: “Monday, one day. Tuesday, two day. Wednesday, when, what day? Thursday, the third day!”

8. Amanda

What it usually means: A woman’s name.

What it means to Friends fans: A man, duh.

9. Moist

What it usually means: A word that most people try to avoid saying.

What it means to Friends fans: Monica’s epic Thanksgiving sandwich: The Moist Maker. Warning: Do not steal said sandwich.

10. Seven

What it usually means: A number.

What it means to Friends fans: The number of erogenous zones on a woman’s body.

11. Gleba

What it usually means: A solid mass of spores (ew).

What it means to Friends fans: Emma’s first word, which proves she’s going to be a scientist.

12. Moo

What it usually means: The sound a cow makes.

What it means to Friends fans: According to Joey, the correct word to use in the phrase “moot point.” When used with the word “point,” it means “a cow’s opinion.”

13. Heckle

What it usually means: To jeer or taunt.

What it means to Friends fans: The man who lived below the gang: Mr. Heckles.

14. Oh. My. God.

What it usually means: Something someone usually says when they are shocked or surprised.

What it means to Friends fans: Janice.

15. PBS

What it usually means: A public broadcasting network that airs things like The Great British Bake Off and Downton Abbey.

What it means to Friends fans: A good-for-nothing organization that is Phoebe’s enemy.

16. Mac and Cheese

What it usually means: A pasta dish loved by many, young and old.

What it means to Friends fans: Joey’s failed show about a robot.

17. Crapweasel

What it usually means: Someone sneaky who cheats or takes something that is not theirs.

What it means to Friends fans: An Italian named Paolo.

18. Armadillo

What it usually means: A mammal with a leathery armor shell.

What it means to Friends fans: One of Santa’s good friends who spreads holiday joy.

19. Banana Hammock

What it usually means: A type of men’s underwear.

What it means to Friends fans: Phoebe’s name for a moment in time.

20. Cheesecake

What it usually means: A type of cake.

What it means to Friends fans: A food so delicious that it causes you to steal it from old ladies and eat it off of the floor.

21. Nubbin

What it usually means: A small lump of bone or cartilage.

What it means to Friends fans: Chandler’s third nipple.

22. Lobster

What it usually means: Crustacean that lives in the sea and/or something on a dinner menu.

What it means to Friends fans: Your one true love.

23. Break

What it usually means: Separate or cause to separate.

What it means to Friends fans: The word that no one should ever say unless they want to continue the worst ongoing fight in the history of the world.
