  • The beginning sets up for a good movie that ends up not being delivered. Too much time spent on unimportant moments. Tries to be an 80s movie, but lacked the finesse to pull it off in this day and age.
  • Scattered mess. Terrible sequencing. Way to long. Why certain parts ran for so long with absolutely no purpose and then others made no sense. Really bad. Go watch the mandalorian and learn the right way to do it. This Wonder woman 1984 movie sucked and is really just an epic fail to an already troubled movie theater industry due to covid-19. This doesn’t help it. Wonder women fly’s now.. real.. why? So stupid 😂. Who where the ones over seening this work? Waisted if 200million. The next story on this should be how much money it lost and that starwars franchis better rethink using this one for directng. Abviously you can tell I am disappointed. Such a shame because the 2017 Wonder woman was very good.
  • It was bad. Other than the magic rope it felt more like it was made in 1984 instead of being set in 1984. Superman 3 was better.
  • The best part of this film is Kristen Wiig in a role you typically wouldn’t expect her to fill. Whether or not thats indicative of the problems plaguing the movie is your decisioj to make. Chris Pine was good and even though his presence made sense for the story told I would have preferred to not see Steve Trevor revived some 60+ years later. Pedro Pascal is too talented for the script he was given so his performance comes off as overacting or campy. Gal Gadot is not acting as Wonder Woman, but rather as Gal Gadot who is happy to play this role. The script is juvenile and also somehow pompous and pretentious. For a character who has disappeared for 100 years, Diana sure as hell got up to some serious world altering hijinks in this movie. There’s a lot going on in this film and also just about nothing. The climax is hopelessly optimistic and perhaps its my own cynicism that stripped any believability from the scene. WW84 throws continuity out the window for grandeur, but when it looks like this it just isn’t so grand.
  • In the words written best by the rotten tomatoes score meter “meh, it passed the time.” This is not an inherently bad movie, but it struggles to find itself. Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Kristen Wiig carry the movie along on their backs. All three actors seem to be very invested in their roles, and it shows big time. The first two acts trudged along and once the final act finally began, the movie took on a completely different pace and really saved the movie from being a complete trainwreck. Again, the movie is not terrible, but just understand that you are watching it primarily for the actors.
  • Well, let’s start off by saying that I didn’t even know the movie came out when it did. Second, I was told by two of my friends that the movie was “Nuts” or “Insane”. However, the plot was dryer than my grandma’s cooch after staying in death valley for the weekend. Cheetah was the most useless fucking thing I’ve seen in a DC movie, blows my fuck. But, Gal is Gr so.
  • It shouldn’t have come as a surprise but the anti-Arab tropes in this movie were astounding. Angry mustached big-nosed brown dude in a turban yelling about heathens? Really? Throw in the Latino crime boss & it’s a real cornacopia of White saviorism
  • I loved the hell out of this film! The heart, the magic, the soul of Wonder Woman shines through in every pulp comic moment. Fun fun fun!
  • This movie was not worth the hype – first of all, having Gal Gadot standing next to young Diana in the beginning was a bad move and it continued from there. the fight scenes were lackluster even the nemesis scenes were uninspired. Furthermore, portraying all men as shallow misogynistic asshats who are one grope away from sexual assaulting every women in the film is insulting! How did a room full of people, reading this script and say “Man this is a great film, this dialogue is superb!” Good thing Covid stopped me from paying good money to see this crap
  • Not a great sequel or a good film. Weak story, weak action sequences and way too long. The best part of the film is the opening 15 minutes and from there it is downhill.
  • I really loved the movie!!!it had touching moments, plenty of action and to me,it is a movie that i longed to see for awhile now and it did not disappoint.Truly fun movie!!
  • Oof that was a rough movie to get through near the end. All the built up excitement of the amazing trailer faded away as a realized the movie was great for its visuals but terrible as far as story-line and directing was concerned. I didn’t really get emotionally invested in any of the characters and everything felt like the story was catered more towards fanboys and a kids network channel. There was really bad CGI at moments as well as a lot of awkward running scenes that broke me away from the story as well. Overall good movie to check out for the visuals but probably not something I would watch a second time.
  • Thought the entire plot was a drag and too slow stretching the movie out to 2+ hours. The special effects were not great and looked poor…. this was a pretty cheesy movie and the ending was anticlimactic and boring.
  • I think too many are expecting some miraculous cinematic savior in a dismal movie year, but I think expectations are just too darn high for these super hero movies, thus we end up with a 3+ hour Avengers finale. Everything can’t continue to get bigger and better, louder and faster without losing heart. The message contained herein is what is most important. This does just fine for forgetting world troubles for 2 and a half hours, so try to loosen up, enjoy it and not expect some monumental blockbuster. People obviously concentrate too much on finding fault instead of appreciating an enjoyable and fun effort. Here’s to WW#3!
  • Just a bit cringey throughout. Really disappointing especially after Diana’s amazing entrance in BvS, and the first Winder Woman movie. I have no idea what happened here with the quality. The writing was just plain bad, and the acting was not what I expected from the cast. I gave it 3/5 because I do enjoy a big budget spent pretty well on screen. I just wish the writing had been [a lot] better, and I’m not sure Kristen Wiig was the right choice for her role.
  • Just another DC movie, nothing special here. Just hit next and keep moving along people. I actually had to fast-forwad a few scene just to stay awake. So bland… stale Wonder Bread
  • An insult to watch. Instantly made me think of Venom – fewer plot holes but worse acting. What a trainwreck. Save yourself the time.
  • Not fun. Not entertaining. Not worth 2.5 hours of your time. Even for “free” on HBO Max.
  • it was okay. fun to watch. that’s it. nothing really stand out. i prefer if they focus on cheetah.
  • I really liked the first movie but this movie has a lot of things wrong with it. The script and premise of the movie are super weak, on top of that it seems like they went for a cartoony acting style on purpose which is just confusing. I was really looking forward to a good movie since there hasn’t been much due to covid but this was a huge let down.
  • The movie WW1984 made no sense with an unbelievable plot. CGI was low budget. The movie director doesn’t need to be directing any more movies after this. I was expecting so much more. Not worth watching. The first one was so much better.
  • Wonder Woman 1984 is pretty top-shelf. Good and enjoyable for this Christmas from DC superhero sequels
  • Really silly movie. The first film was my favorite of the DC Cinematic Universe but this is probably my least favorite. Diana was only really Wonder Woman for maybe 15 minutes out of the 2 and a half hours. And when she was in costume, the scenes were pretty boring. Really disappointed with this one.
  • Complete Disaster! Whoever approved this storyline at Warner should be fired! The predecessor from 2017 was way way way better. So disappointing…sigh.
  • 2 1/2 hours of my life wasted, absolutely terrible story, nothing ever seems to happen, don’t even bother.
  • Meh. Too too long. Kristen Wilg in cheetah outfit was awful. I predict it will fall far short of the first movie.
  • I just got back from watching WW84 a few hours ago at my local theater and I loved it sure it was kinda awkward dialogue and some editing wise, but the action scenes with Diana and Cheetah were so badass. I’m looking forward to rewatching it on HBO Max over and over until I get sick of it lol. Not only that, but I hope they give us a 4K Steel book for the movie in a couple of months so that I can add it to my collection.
  • Nowhere near as good as the first WW movie. Not good for the already struggling DCU reputation. I’d put this somewhere above ‘Harley Quinn’ and below ‘Aquaman’. Something was off with the action effects in the film. They often seemed very amateur. Glad that I didn’t pay theatre ticket/concession prices for the movie. Thanks HBOmax !
  • more sentimental than fun, it was a nostalgic movie, with all elements that made ww so great and loved, but maybe only absolute fans would understand.
  • Cast was great. Acting was great. A movie where one character tells a homeless person to stay warm while it’s July in DC. WW can fly but forgets it. Everything was forced and contrived. WW theme was very briefly used in scenes and they steal from the Sunshine soundtrack in a really dumb overly drawn out scene. Obviously the writing, directing, and editing just sat this picture out.
  • Wow. Worst DCEU movie to date. Patty Jenkins can not do action sequences. This movie took comic book movies 3 steps back. It does not keep up with the evolution that the genre has madd, thanks to Marvel. I can’t believe how bad it was. Wow.
  • Τhis movie was awful. I feel bad those involved and wish they could undo the entire script.
  • Basically it was good although sometimes hard to follow. You need to be familiar with the first one or you will definitely get lost.
  • Excellent work on this DC film!!! Gadot is amazing!!!
  • Disappointing. Love the actors but storyline flatlined. This was just …. not a good movie. Do yourself a favor, save your money and rewatch the first one instead.
  • “I wish they would make a Wonder Woman sequel.” I renounce my wish.
  • I was quite bored actually. The plot was predictable and then things didn’t align. Too far fetched and too “typical” even for DC. Disappointed.
  • I was hooked from the excitement of the first one. This one had hooks going in that kept me watching. Conceptually, it was a bloody disaster. There was so much more I wanted it off the movie yet so much less than they have me. They flew in a fighter jets from the Smithsonian, through fireworks while invisible. Then on to Cairport. No flight plans or itineraries, just a world war pilot flying a new fighter jets, what could go wrong? In short, it looks like they were really trying to make a big movie while really hoping they’d get it right. It’s a shot in the dark.
  • This movie reminds me of the superhero movies I watched growing up as a kid. Lacking the comedic styles of 21st century superhero films, Wonder Woman 1984 harkens back to the glory days of superhero films. And while some may find it too cheesy, I believe it adds to its charm. The 80’s setting is fine, although I wish it was utilized more. The casting was phenomenal. The dialogue was nothing to write home about, but that’s a trade off of having a old school superhero film. Overall, it really comes down to whether you like the 20th century style superhero flicks, because it will likely decide either you adore or despise this movie. If you fall into that second category, you can always just stare at Gadot or Wiig (who are both stunning) for two and a half hours.
  • My lady and I liked the movie. The message in this movie is strong. Movie was a good complement to the 1st one. Overall very entertaining movie.
  • An hour of basically nothing but reminding people how bad the 80s were, followed by an hour or so of a half baked idea of a “villian” chasing with mostly terrible action and cgi scenes. Did nothing to help the DCU or move forward the world of WW.
  • Woof, that first act was rough. Wayyyyyy too cheesy up through the mall sequence. It definitely finds itself however and Pascal and Wiig deliver fantastic performances. Steve Trevor’s “fish out of water” is really stupid when it tries to be jokey, but when the movie leans more into the wonderment of how far things have come it hits something really special. A mixed bag, but enjoyable ride overall.
  • There are no amount of words that I could use to describe how unfortunately bad and unremarkable this movie was. Horrible CGI, bad script, cringe acting, lack of coherent plot, almost all of the basics for a good superhero movie were absent. If you want to see DC succeed, don’t watch this movie because you will be sorely disappointed. Read a book instead… or watch paint dry.
  • Huge Wonder Woman and Gal Gadot fan but WW1984 was poorly directed. CGI was lousy. The plot did not make sense. The flop of the year and probably ruined any hope for part 3. I hope they get a new director next time.
  • Wonder Woman 1984 is a really good sequel. It’s fun, it looks great, the colors are amazing . It’s a beautiful movie to look at. The cast is great and at first I didn’t like the set up but when things got going, it got going. Pedro pascal as max lord is probably the best superhero villain since of course Thanos. He’s so relatable and every entrepreneur wants to be like him. He has his own company then it goes down like most companies and he wants to make his son proud by wishing to take over the world. Their are little plots in this movie. This is a kids movie. And theirs nothing wrong with it being a kids movie but logic at times in this movie are legit thrown out the window. But anyway besides those cringy moments at times theirs no imagine singing in this so that’s a win. That imagine song by this cast almost ruined this movie. But I’m in the Christmas spirit so I’m extra nice today. Good job DC and keep up the good work.
  • Patty Jenkins ruined the movie and is the worst director ever. How do you mess up a movie with Gal Gadot? How do you destroy Wonder Woman 1984? Plot was terrible, CGI was pitiful, writing suspect and villains lackluster. A total flop and not even comparable to part 1.
  • The movie is boring and a disappointment compared to the first movie.
  • Really boring. Nothing like the first movie. The only memorable parts are the ridiculously cliche situational constructs. Just a slow, long movie with few parts that will make you eye roll.
